National Express host Easter fundraiser at Leicester’s St Margaret's Coach Station

National Express Colleagues at Leicester Coach Station
Colleagues from National Express, based at Leicester’s St Margarets Coach Station, have organised a colouring competition during the Easter holidays to support Leicester Children’s Holidays, a local charity that supports some of Leicester's most vulnerable children.
The competition will be open to children of all ages and will run from Monday, 3rd April to Friday, 7th April. At the station, colouring sheets and pencils will be available, and the entry fee for the competition is £1. All proceeds from the competition will go directly to Leicester Children’s Holidays. Entrants have the opportunity to win a multitude of prizes, including a first prize hamper and various seasonal goodies.
Nichola Moore, CEO of Leicester Children’s Holidays said: “We are very thankful to National Express for their continued support, it means a lot to both us as a charity and to the children we help support. Without the support of local businesses and local people, our charity wouldn’t exist. We rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of people.
"Our services are needed now more than ever. With the cost of living crisis, we are seeing more and more children being pushed into poverty, to help meet this growing demand we are stepping up this year to offer more experiences and activities for children in need.
"We believe every child should have the opportunity to flourish, and we are on a mission to invest in children, inspire their dreams, unlock potential and create lasting memories.”
Ryan Cooper, the Coach Station Manager, said: "As a main transportation hub, we have a steady stream of people passing through the coach station each day, providing an excellent opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a good cause.
"The Easter fundraiser also demonstrates National Express' commitment to supporting charitable causes and giving back to our local community."
