The UK’s capital has everything and then some!

From sightseeing iconic landmarks like St Paul’s to walking along the River Thames, there’s plenty to keep you busy for as long as you’re planning to stay. Bustling with culture from across the globe, trust us when we say you’ll be glad you decided to book that coach. It’s a well-known fact that you can’t see the whole of the big smoke in a day, but here’s a few things to get you started…

Where to sightsee:

Big Ben

You can’t get the coach all the way down to the capital without seeing Big Ben. This incredibly famous landmark, located in Westminster, is probably the most glorified clock tower in the world. Learn about its vast history on a walking tour, or view it from a boat trip on the River Thames. Whatever you decide, ensure you take all the snaps.

Houses Of Parliament

The Houses of Parliament (AKA The Palace of Westminster) is where you’ll see many of the country's head honchos meet. It’s a gorgeous building situated in Westminster (conveniently next to Big Ben) where you can book guided tours, as well as have a bite to eat in the Jubilee cafe inside. It’s defo worth a visit, especially if you’re a lover of British history.

Buckingham Palace

Although you can’t pop in for a cuppa, visiting the British Royal’s residence is an absolute must when on a trip to London. If you’re lucky enough to get down in the morning, then make sure you stay for the Changing of the Guard - it’s basically a really cool (and free) show. Click the link in any of these landmarks to discover incredible places to visit nearby…

Where to eat:

At One of Ping Pong’s Sites Across The City

For your next trip to London, ensure you try out one of the many Ping Pong sites across the capital. They offer delish dim sum (FYI it’s all half price from Tuesday to Friday between 3pm and 6pm) making it a fabulous lunch option for all the family. You can even book in for their £35 bottomless brunch if you’re wanting to get a bit boozy.

Bocca Bocca

As well as having a funky name, this popular pizzeria serves up some seriously tasty Italian dishes that you’ll be dreaming about for weeks. They also have insanely Instagrammable decor, a fabulous half price pizza deal on Wednesdays and free wine with any pasta dish from Monday to Wednesday. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Where to drink:

The Little Scarlet Door

If you’re looking for a home away from home, then make your way to Little Scarlet Door. Its interiors are inspired by snug New York apartments, with the added bonus of a bar that serves up a whole range of cocktails, DJ sets that go on into the night and an Andy Wharhol-themed vault. They even serve up £5 picantes every weekday between 4pm and 6pm. You’re welcome.

London Bridge Rooftop

Fancy seeing the sites whilst sipping on some delicious drinks? This fabulous hotspot allows you to admire London’s best landmarks (including The Shard and St Paul’s Cathedral) whilst listening to DJs and sipping on cocktails. They even offer 50% off drinks every weekday between 4pm and 6pm, and on Saturdays between 1pm to 2pm.

What to do:

Monopoly Lifesized

If you’re a lover of board games, then Monopoly Lifesized is reason enough to travel to London. Play your way out of jail, build your own house and complete an array of escape room-styled games, with tickets starting at just £49. Don’t forget to hit the Top Hat Bar afterwards for some food and drinks.

Sky Garden

If you’re wanting 360 degree views of London's cityscape, then Sky Garden is the place to visit. Venture 37 floors up the Walkie Talkie building to enjoy a three-course meal, sensational cocktails and - for the early risers - a pastry and a hot drink for just £8.50. Alternatively, you can just pop up there to admire the view. Free. Of. Charge.
