6 of the best UK coffee shops

Enjoy the best in travel and coffee together!

Is there a better way to fuel an adventure other than with the magical properties of coffee? We’re not convinced. So, to make life easier for you we’ve put together a list of our favourite coffee shops throughout the country.

It’s roasted beans and twiddly moustaches as far as the eye can see!

Sheffield - Copper Pot Cafe

Sheffield’s Division Street is a hotbed of independent shopping, funky pubs and, of course, coffee shops. While it’s hard to narrow down a favourite, the sheer options on offer at the Copper Pot Cafe make it hard to beat.

Choose from a host of satisfying coffees, but also great lunch options at a fair price and a few cheeky vegan and non-vegan treats too.

Take a look at our coach travel to Sheffield page, book your tickets and explore Division Street for yourself.

Exeter - Exploding Bakery

Yes, it's more of a bakery than a coffee shop, but look at that picture and then ask why Exploding Bakery made it on the list. We were sad to discover that nothing actually explodes when you’re there (it’s a cool name nonetheless), but the traybakes and coffee are so popular here, we can let them off. In fact, people have been known to queue out of the door for their delights!

Their website claims they have the ‘best mother clucking cake in town’, a big statement indeed! Are they right? You be the judge with our cheap coach travel to Exeter.

Birmingham - Faculty

Tucked neatly into the independent surroundings of Birmingham’s Piccadilly Arcade, Faculty is a truly stripped-back coffee shop. You’ll find a good offering of the essentials in a cosy little nook - perfect for watching the world go by.

The open-plan kitchen, where you can see plenty of bread and assorted goodies being made, is a great touch too.

Discover all the independent delights of Birmingham with coach travel from across the country.

Nottingham - 200 Degrees

Quickly becoming one of our favourite coffee chains, 200 degrees offers a range of its own roasted coffees, wraps, cakes, sandwiches and more. Although it may be one of the more expensive chains, everything is of a very high quality. Plus, who can resist those awesome neon fire displays?

Robin Hood’s hometown is lucky enough to host two of 200 Degrees’ most popular shops, check them both out with cheap coach travel to Nottingham today.

Norwich - Strangers Coffee House

Despite the name, the staff in Strangers are particularly friendly. Run by three brothers and picking up multiple awards along the way, this coffee shop is for those who really know their beans.

Portsmouth/Southsea - Southsea Coffee Co.

Family-owned and community-focused, it’s hard not to love a small business like the Southsea Coffee Co.

The Knight family have been sourcing the best coffee to bring to the Portsmouth shores since 2013; throw in homely decor, a wide range of lunch options (including pad thai salad!) and a counter of tantalising cakes and you’re on to a real winner.

Explore the coast, powered by amazing coffee, with coach tickets to Southsea.

Now you’ve found your perfect coffee stop (and know how to get there), book your tickets and head on out on another coffee-fuelled adventure!
