Due to a red weather warning issued by the Met Office, some of our services operating in Scotland, Northern England and Ireland have been cancelled on Friday 24 January. A red weather warning is the highest level of weather warning and indicates dangerous weather is expected.

We are proactively contacting customers who have already booked with us during the red weather warning time period and locations affected.

Cancelled or amended services on Fri 24 Jan are listed below.

National Express Services

  • Service 182 Southbound
    10:10 departure from Edinburgh will now depart from Carlisle at 13:35. Edinburgh, Glasgow & Hamilton will not be served.
  • Service 182 Northbound
    07:30 from Birmingham will operate as normal to Manchester. It will then depart Manchester at 13:00 (2h45 late) and terminate in Glasgow. Edinburgh will not be served.
  • Service 183 Northbound
    07:30 from Birmingham will operate as normal to Leeds and then be delayed by around 30 minutes
  • Service 591 Southbound
    09:15 from Glasgow will now depart from Newcastle at 13:30. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berwick and Alnwick will not be served.

All other services between England and Scotland are expected to operate as scheduled.

Dublin Express Services

The following services are cancelled:

  • Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre services between 01:45 and 13:00
  • Dublin City Centre to Dublin Airport services between 03:00 and 13:00
  • Belfast to Dublin City Centre services between 01:55 and 14:20
  • Dublin City Centre to Belfast services between 05:20 and 16:10


To amend your travel to an alternative date, please complete this amendment form and we will amend your ticket accordingly.

Alternatively, if your service has been cancelled and you are not planning on travelling on an alternative time/date you can request a refund. Please submit your ticket details through our refund request form here and we will process your refund within the next 10 days.
